About

Roberto Kozek is a South American born photographer raised in the Caribbean currently based in Los Angeles.  Initially inspired by the work of Sebastao Salgado, Roberto Kozek was drawn to a cameras ability to tell the stories of his subjects.  Fascinated by this process, he left left his career as a chemical engineer to the pursue photography.  

As a photographer, Roberto believes everyday is an adventure.  Aesthetically one day might be bright and airy ,yet another day might be soft and melancholic. Sometimes the moment might be moody and serious, or it may be piercingly bright and bold.  Every day is as different as every subject is unique.  By adapting to each setting and building a relationship with each subject, he can create images that are visually engaging, yet sincere and honest. 

When not traveling between Los Angeles and New York, you can find him playing soccer, surfing, or cooking with friends in Venice, CA.
